Mini Cooper S owners- bad winter car?

I've read up a lot on Mini Coopers, but I was wanting to hear from someone who has owned one. I live in Colorado, and it has to be able to handle winter weather. Not unreasonable blizzard conditions or course, but I need to get to and from work all year round. What do you think?

I find mini easy to drive because the driving position is so close to the front wheels. It gives a much more direct sense of being in control. Minis also have a low center of gravity so hold the road well in all conditions.
