My 2001 ford focus wont start?

while drivivng home the other day the car died. I tried restarting the car but it wont start. The egnine turns over but doesnt start. Can anyone help

check to see if your fuel pump is coming on. if you dont hear it come on when you turn the key, thats what it is.
