My fiat punto HGT has been cutting out recently, what could be the problem?

PLEASE HELP!!? It cuts out and fails to start unless left for 20-30mins, i have had the crank sensor replaced but this has had no effect. Nothing is coming up on diagnostic machine either. HELP.

Without wishing to sound too brutal/ unfeeling.

The underlying problem is that Fiat built it in the first place.

I say this as someone who has ended up with many "dead" cars of varied nationalities.

Most have served beyond the "call of duty" and went to their graves with my blessing
