Names Of New Model / Concept Car?

How do car manufacturers 'name' their model car? I think most modern car names has no significant meaning in its entire physique and features. (ex Eclipse, Innova, Alto, Jazz) A name, just like that? Just asking

And I guess they name it with according to what the car can do.. or it's characteristics...
