if you are approaching a steep downward slope, do you need to reduce your speed before shifting from 'D' to lower gear. thank you

well i was always taught that when I'm going uphill I'll use the 1 and 2 gear, because it is putting a strain on the vehicle. But going downward I would just have it in D.

Automatic Transmission is for Kids... Manual is for the pro's... Other benefits are that you save on fuel and enjoy driving...!!

This kind of slope is very risky....many danger accidents take place in this kind of slope...specially in the hill station....so keep your speed slow and keep your gear always in D mode...!
