The powertrain “Dream of the Earth” will be firstly mounted in 2013 (the ninth generation) Accord models.
The technology of "Dream of the Earth" is a general term for the latest environmental technology researched and developed by Honda. It will be firstly assembled in the U.S. version of the 2013 Accord. It’s reported that using this technology the fuel consumption can save 10percent compared with existing products. Anna engine plant will mainly produce direct-injection four-cylinder engine and V6 engine. Honda transmission plant mainly produces the latest CVT change continuously variable transmission and the six-speed automatic transmission. Currently, Honda has spent $ 220 million on this technology. The Anna engine plant will be able to achieve an annual output of 1.8 million units with "Dream of the Earth" technology engine.
