sensor. Where is it and how? Does the speed sensor affect whether or not the O/D works?
Took my mazda 626 to a dealership and they said I needed to replace the speed

Not sure about the sensor, but unless you are still under warranty, don't ever take your car to a dealership. They overcharge on everything and their mechanics suck. If they were any good, they'd be in a private shop.
