What could cause a '99 Oldsmobile Alero to stall at the same spot on the

freeway almost every morning? Every morning I drive across an airport tunnel and my 99 Alero V6 automatic always seems to stall or feels like it's about to stall when I reach the last 1/4 of the tunnel (about 15min into drive). When it does this all the lights on the dash light up like a christmas tree, the door chime goes off, and they all turn off and I only see the security light solid for a moment and then it starts blinking. Then everything either goes back to normal or it stalls. I can start it up by turning the car off and starting it again right away and get where I need to go. Funny thing is I pass the same tunnel again going home and it never happens. And it never happens anywhere else I go. Only in the morning and only in the last 1/4 of the tunnel. I went to Autozone to get it scanned for codes and to test the battery and alternator. No codes and the battery and alternator checked out ok. Any ideas on how to fix this myself?

no, no ideas to fix it yourself. not a common problem, except maybe for an olds driveability tech. find one, they'll be employed at the local GM dealers since olds is now defunct. they have bulletins that tell them about these type concerns. otherwise you'll be chasing rainbows. personally, my educated guess would be that the car is colder after sitting all night versus sitting out in the sun all day. could be a temp sensor concern. otherwise, try a different route and see what happens.
