What does owning a Maserati involve? (maintenance, insurance, etc.)?

I'm looking at purchasing a 2005 Maserati Quattroporte and this will be my first experience with exotic cars. I've heard stories of $500 oil changes and needing new tires once a month and wanted to check on costs of actually owning a car like this.

I also need some information on insurance. I've checked with companies and received a quote but all of them are for a limited use policy with no more than 5,000 miles a year - I'd probably drive mine more than that.

I'd love to get this car but I want to be 100% sure of what I'm getting into before I do.

Expensive cars are expensive to maintain. You don't want to have champagne tastes on a beer budget. Sometimes parts are hard to find.
