What does the recirc button mean?? 95 Buick LeSabre?

Is it for the air conditioner or does it circulate the heat if you have the heat on ?? Please help ?

So do you think that if I have the heat on does it just have the heat recirculating throughout the car, but it will not turn on the air right ??

I am not sure, but for any car i have ever had it means that the air is recirculated within the car, rather than bringing in fresh, outside air.
As for whether it is for the heat or the air conditioner, it is probably for both.
