What happened to Ted Bundy's Volkswagen Beetle?

It's a sad and strange fact that a lot of people collect serial killer memorabilia, and things of a generally macabre nature. James Dean's Porsche Spyder was owned by several people after he died in it. Bonnie and Clyde's bullet-riddled car was put on public display. So it makes me wonder what happened to the infamous Volkswagen Beetle used by serial killer Ted Bundy during his murder spree? Was it impounded, and if so, what ultimately happened to it? Is it in the hands of an avid Ted Bundy fan or sitting in a museum somewhere? It's such a famous vehicle, and a piece of American history, so it seems strange that it wouldn't be a collector's item. (And, no, I don't want to buy it or any other Ted Bundy memorabilia. I'm just curious.) On that note, whatever happened to OJ's Bronco?
