What is Henry Fords importance in a Brave new World?

He is the symbol of the new technological age because he invented (or is credited with inventing) the assembly line, thereby re-inventing industry. So, he can be said to be the father of efficiency in some senses, something like that, you know - moving towards perfection. He's a God-like figure in the book, with people saying "our Ford" and there's the "T" symbol.

the book is satrical. It's a black comedy. As pointed out Ford invented the assembly line and that's how humans are made in that book.
