Why don't car manufacturers use the same concept as a motorcycle's engine

when designing new engines? Since modern motorcycle engines of 500cc to 600cc can produce over 100hp above 10,000rpm, why don't car manufacturers use the same concept when designing their new engines? It will result in massive weight saving since the engines will be lighter & smaller.
