...environmentally friendly vehicles? With the currently changing government and all of the "environmentally friendly" campaign adds on TV, it seems to me that any serious policy on climate change would start with changing taxis to eco friendly fuels/ hybrid vehicles. This technology is already available, i.e. Toyota Prius.
Wouldnt the large volume of taxis sold then force our domestic vehicle manufacturers to look at producing competetively priced eco friendly vehicles.
Surely the cost issue would be offset by the rising costs of petroleum worldwide and the fact that these vehicles are much more fuel efficient.
