Dauphine ( trans. Prince)

A small sedan imported in the 1960's. Pretty much junk when new.

I can still remember the advert on TV - It holds the road, whatever the load - the Renault Dauphine! Perhaps a tad difficult to get the tune across in this message!

My father in law had one - it caught fire and burnt out!

We had a Dauphine in the late 60's.
Nothing special. Dauphine = Princess, heir to the throne, missus thereof.
