My friend purchased a 2007 Chrysler 300M and has not had a moments joy. Even though the car is under warranty, it spends more time in the possession of the dealer than the owner. The car has had so many problems in the 6 months she has had it that she is ready to give it back. She had an independent certified mechanic check the car out and they basically told her the car is a piece of pretty junk. She just called Chrysler customer service and one of their reps told her "We don't care" when she told them about the cars problems and then disconnected the call.
Has anyone had similar nightmares with their American Chrysler car?
Brian W., you're right.
It is a 300C.

As a DCX trained and certified technician I can tell you that the reason these newer cars are junk is because of the lazy American public. Everybody has to have all the little trinkets on their cars, so the manufacturers oblige and add all the electronic (key word here) modules and gadgets. As soon as you add electronic anything, you are adding a great deal of uncertainty. Electronic modules are very unpredictable and with the way that the auto manufacturers have them set up, if one module goes down, it can take out the entire system. Compare sometime a 1980 Dodge Omni and a 2007 Dodge Caliber. Yeah the Omni is very lackluster, and somewhat boring. However, it gets the same (if not better) gas mileage and actually makes you think about driving. Maybe we should "Wake up and drive" and stop letting our cars drive for us.

has she got all the receipts? If she does then tell her to Lemon Law it . She has a right to take it to them and tell them that it has been in the garage more then she has had it and have her get a letter from two or three certified mechanics about the condition of the car and what they think could be the problem. Does she take it back to the dealership where she bought it? ALSO have her go to better business bureau or the attorney general web site and if she has the name of he person she had spoke too, she can go to the Chrysler's Corp. site and put in a complaint against this person. They take that stuff very seriously and will reprimand or just fire the person if it is not the first time it has happened.
