The Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association (GAAMA) hosts a family car event every year to choose the best cars out there for today’s modern families. This year Mazda took home two awards with the 2016 Mazda6 grabbing the “Best Tech Family Car” award, and the 2015 Mazda CX-5 taking the crown for “Best Value Family Car.”

To be eligible for the Value category, the car in question has to be cheaper than the average new car price in the US ($32,086 for this year’s test) but still offer all the great safety and interior features that buyers want. With its dynamic handling, great equipment list and stellar safety rating, the CX-5 won an easy victory. The Mazda6 won honors for the Tech Car category thanks to a long list of futuristic technology features. Beyond the standards like Bluetooth, satellite radio and navigation, the Mazda6 offers the new Mazda Connect infotainment system, and you can even order the stylish sedan with a heads-up display.

A big congrats to Mazda for their achievements.
