Nissan has a lot to be happy this holiday season. Not only are the brands sales up about 10-percent over last year, Nissan has sent word that the 4-millionth Altima has just been sold. The Altima has been running around the US since 1992, but with the new generation 2013 Altima, they are selling quicker than ever.

According to Nissan, this has been a record year for Altima, selling more this year than any year before. In a bit of flaunting, Nissan also states that a full quarter of new Altima sales came with the trade in of a Toyota or Honda.

We certainly enjoy the newest Altima and are happy to see it doing so well, but Nissan needs to keep improving it if hopes to stand up against the renewed competition that is coming in the next couple of years.
