Monster Energy Kawasaki and Attack Kawasaki road race teams traveled to California Speedway Tuesday and performed successful track tests on the brand new Kawasaki ZX-6R.

Monster Energy Kawasaki rider's Jamie Hacking and Roger Lee Hayden, and Attack Kawasaki's Ben Attard, along with crew and support staff, arrived at the track about 8:00 a.m. to set-up and attempt to beat the forecasted rain. Riders were able to test in the morning but half way through the day, scattered showers wet the track and testing was forced to be put on hold.

“Today we had a good but short test day because of the rain, yet still got a lot accomplished,” said Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager Mike Preston. “Both Roger and Jamie went out on our new (ZX-6R) 600's and we got some really good settings.”

The teams are looking to take full advantage of the second day of testing to break in the Kawasaki ZX-10R's for the superbike series. “Depending on the weather, Jamie will most likely start on the superbike and Roger will finish his 600 test,” said Preston. “If we don't get a full day, Roger would try and get some runs on the superbike.”
