The supply of the braking system for the brand new Lexus IS-F 350 is a milestone in Brembo development.

Toyota is introducing the 2008 Lexus IS-F, the Lexus vision of performance car. The IS-F features a 5.0-L V8 engine which delivers more than 400 hp and is one of the fastest cars ever tested on the gruelling “Old Nürburgring” track.

Brembo engineers developed a dedicated braking system for this supercar: 360 x 30 perforated front discs gripped by a six-piston fixed calliper and 345 x 28 perforated rear discs gripped by a two-piston fixed calliper.

Production of the Lexus IS-F will start in the second half of 2007. It represents the first car of the world leader Japanese manufacturer with a Brembo sourced braking system.

With this new supplier agreement, Brembo will strengthen its position in the performance cars Japanese market. Brembo is already present in this market as a manufacturer of components for other Japanese manufacturers.
