Just how awesome is the 707 horsepower Dodge Hellcat engine? Well apparently it’s so great that Dodge can’t keep up with orders and it is boosting production of all 2016 Charger and Challenger Hellcat models to stem the growing list of backorders. Production numbers for both machines have been doubled, as an extra bonus to anyone who has had to wait so long to get their 707-horsepower tire shredder, the 2016 cars roll onto the lots with a few small improvements to the interior.

Upgrades to the inside include Laguna Leather on every model, Uconnect 8.4 system with nav, and five years of access to SiriusXM Travel Link and Traffic.

If you are already in line for a 2015 Hellcat, have no worries. Dodge just canceled your order and put you on the list for an upgraded 2016 model, and they are giving you a discount on your order to boot. That sounds a lot like getting your cake, and then being handed the most powerful fork in the world to eat it with.
