The new-for-2011 Dodge Grand Caravan has, so far, been a fairly successful story. The 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 gave it a new and much more powerful heart and the revised suspension allows for a shockingly good handling vehicle. Now for the 2012 model year, Chrysler LLC has made things even more interesting by introducing a new trim that drops the starting MSRP even lower. The American Value Package makes the 2012 Grand Caravan the least expensive U.S. minivan on the market.

Now starting at $20,995, the base Dodge still is equipped with the wonderful 283 horsepower engine and spacious interior that we have learned to truly appreciate. The car-like handling and ease of loading is still there in the American Value Package, but items such as rear seat DVD and navigation are not. This means that crowded families looking for an inexpensive but easy to operate minivan with solid quality need not to look any further than their nearest Chrysler LLC dealership.
