The current generation Ford Taurus is, arguably, one of the many reasons as to why Ford has stayed strong in the past few years. The well-engineered, full-size sedan covers many bases from family sedan, luxury cruiser, and highway bomber. For the 2013 model year, the Taurus adds even more options and another EcoBoost engine.

These days, small displacement, forced induction engines are the name of the game. Ford already utilized this philosophy in the Taurus with their EcoBoost V6 SHO model but has now decided to go even further by offering a turbocharged 4 cylinder to model range. The 2.0 liter unit will make 237 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque and should yield 31 mpg on the highway. Undoubtedly, the highway is where this model will see most of its duty as the Taurus is a quintessential business machine. Word is still out on whether or not the 2.0 liter will be matched to the AWD system.

For 2013, the Taurus also sees a few new styling tweaks. The front grill is slightly more chiseled and shares similar air shutters that are on the 2012 Focus. The hood, rear quarter panels and deck have all been slightly re-sculpted in an extremely subtle way but it all blends into a handsome car. It even includes LED lighting. With three engine options along with numerous levels of trim, the 2013 Ford Taurus should become even more attainable for the masses.
