2001 Kia rio turned off and won't start.?

I was driving and my car just turned off on me. Battery ok when i try to start it, it just clicks. Could this be a timing belt problem?

A clicking starter means bad battery connections. Remove the cables and clean the clamps and the battery post.
Now get it jumpted and check the alt output. If it is low, get it replasted.

I doubt it, even if the timing belt broke the engine will still turn over. I would check the battery, battery cables, and alternator.
