releasing the clutch into gears 2,3&4.? Bought the car new 2 years ago. The noise only started a few weeks ago. It seems to be most promenent during engine warm-up. Sounds similar to tires squealing. (No, it's not my tires squealing.) The noise only happens briefly during the moment the clutch is "catching" into gears 2, 3 and 4. Haven't noticed it from a stop or into gear 5. I've always taken care of the car & had regular maintenance. Anybody know what might be causing this??
