99 volvo s80 not starting?

starter good, batt good ,red wire to starter no power
it'actually a green/red wire

If no power to the starter solenoid while the ignition key is in the cranking position then place the transmission shifter in the Neutral and turn the key or simultaneously turn key and move the shifter up and down the gears slowly and see what happens. If the starter motor engages when doing this test then the culprit is likely the gear position sensor. Let me know how it goes. Thanx.

have your tried to remove the battery completely for 2-3 hours or over night to see if it will start in the morning -
does your starter turn or make that clicking sound.
.also this is dumb but make sure your gear is in Park if its in part take it out of park and but back in park .
