The brand-new convertible Audi Spider will gain a traditional fabric roof but misses out on the R8's trademark aluminum side blades. Other major changes for the new Spider that are hoped-for to make it to production will be extra air inlets located behind the sits as well as a pair of safety roll-over bars. The placement of the fuel filler cap will also be modified due to the missing backside pillars, while changes under the sheet metal will probably take extra chassis strengthening.
