I live in California and I got an Insurnace quote for a new car from a Insurence company that is out of state. Is there a difference between buy a out of state insurance policy vs. a policy from a compnay in cali?

You're supposed to insure the car where its registered, theoretically "where its parked over night." Each state handles auto insurance differently, and thus prices them differently. You would have to know more about what is being offered on the policy versus the requirements of the California Statutes. I can not research or speculate on the issue w/o knowing what the other state is, and what they are offering.

no it doesn't matter because they are giving you a quote based on your vehicle, type, year, your information and where its located. Where they're at doesn't matter.
