Chrysler's limited lifetime warranty...what's the catch?

I can't be the only one wondering. I don't care for Chrysler vehicles, but that would make anyone look twice...

You have to have proof of every oil change etc... to have the limited lifetime warranty. You don't have to have it done at a Chrysler facility, just a shop that will give you an invoice with the date and milage on it.

Whenever car makers start offering longer warranties, it's a sure sign they sell junk, and they are getting desperate.

You NEVER see 50K or 100K warranties on Hondas or Toyotas, do you? It's because they can sell all of them on the lot no problem.
