Ford 2002 Sport Trak IAC Valve

Very simple solution. By the way it's called the IACV. These things tend to get very dirty with time. All you have to do is take a 10mm socket and take the valve off the intake manifold. Don't forget to disconnect the water lines and plug at the bottom. Buy some carb cleaner and clean the valve. Just spray the cleaner into the two valve openings and ofcourse don't forget to pour it out. Don't just let the cleaner sit inside the valve. Keep doing it till it stops throwing out all tha black gunk. One of them has like a screen filter that you should be able to take off. Normally takes anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes to do depending on how dirty it is. Then just slap it all back on and you should be good to go. Good luck!
