My Jimmy got totaled, I loved that truck, but now I am searching for a new(to me at least ) vehicle. What do you think I should get as far as safety features and gas consumption? It is very difficult to find a Jimmy like the one I had for the price the insurance company gave me. I am working with almost $5000.00.

Fords Are Built Pretty Good Gmc And Chevys Are Too.i Believe That You'll Get Better Fuel Economy On A Gmc Or Chevy, But Then Again It All Depends On How You Drive It. I Get Between 16 And 18 Mpg Out Of My Truck. It Is A '99 Chevy Silverado W/ A 327 And The Heavy Duty Tow/hail Transmission, 4x4, Locking Rear Differential. A Nice Truck.
