how do you get to the battery in a 2002 suzuki volusia motorcycle?

how do you get to the battery in a 2002 suzuki volusia motorcycle? I know it is under the front seat but how the hell do I get the seat off? Do I have to take the backseat off too?

Take off the back pillion (remove the bolt directly behind the pillion)...then remove the driver's seat (one bolt behind the driver's seat)...it's under it.
