It is a 2007 Chevy Malibu with only 8000 miles on it but was salvaged after the person hit a pole. There was no damage to the engine, but the radiator was replaced, and the frame was bent a little but it was put back and the car was fixed up, it was mostly comestic damage. The seller has been completely up front and honest about everything, but I just want to know if anyone has experience or advice.

I work for a dealership and I advise you not to do this. The resale value on this car will decrease with a salvage title.

Unless you get it really cheap...I would pass. It will be difficult to insure or get a loan on because of the salvage status. It may look good but it can still have "issues" if the suspension was not repaired properly.

You're probably OK
Frame straightening on front generally is OK
farther back can be a problem
How does the car drive? OK?
Can you afford to get a different car w/no issues?
Or is this the one?
If you could afford a different car w/no issues, I'd go that way
Are you getting the balance of car warranty?
If so, you may want to buy an xtended warranty for the future if you buy this car
