the low has been in the 20s? When I go to start it in the morning to ride, the starter cranks over for about 30 seconds and will not start. Then the battery is dead. Do you think the problem is the battery?
What is weird is when the outside temp gets up to around 35 with the sun shining the motorcycle cranks and starts perfectly.
The only problem with buying a battery tender is I live at an apartment complex. I ride the bike a few miles to class.

the cold may have frozen some key componenents in the battery, i would suggest what the other guy said, charge the battery and see what a happens

you really need to have it hooked to a battery tender. That cold drags the batteries ability to crank way down as well as causing it to lose it's charge pretty quickly. You can buy a good one for around $29.95 from dennis kirk online or j&pcycle online or even JC whitney. I use em on all my bikes all winter long.
