I hit a car but have no insurance. I live in Melbourne Australia. What can I do?

I read ended a car accidentally. it was my fault. I dont have insurance though.
The damage is minor, rear bumper bar needs a respray.
I was going to just pay him. He sent me a quote of $1225 aud.
This is a lot of money for me. Are their any other options. Could something be done through his insurance?
Please advise.

I don't think you can do anything for this one. But since I'm don't drive myself, I don't know for sure. I can tell you one thing though. Next time, learn your lesson and get insurance.
