I want to trade/sell in my 1997 Buick and get a 2000 era Nissan Pathfinder.

What do you recommmend I do,? to make this process run as smooth as possible?

I would go to a Nissan Dealership, preferably one with a Pathfinder in the 2000 era for sale, and ask them how much they will give you for your car. From there i would haggle, and try to get a better deal. But that seems to me to be the best starting point.
