I'm looking to finance a 2005 Mazda RX8....?

I'm 20 and I'm looking to finance a 05' Mazda RX8 except my credit isn't that great because of some mistakes I made when I turned 18. I was wondering even if you have bad credit, can someone like my brother who has excellent credit co-sign for me and help me finance the car? Or does me having bad credit disqualify me from financing even with a co-signer

It won't disqualify you just based on your credit if you have a co-signer, but you will get screwed on interest. First, talk to your bank about financing one based on the avg price of the RX-8 in your area, and see what they say. Then, talk to a dealership and see if their in-house finance service or the bank they finance through will approve you. Some dealerships will take a credit app for free and some charge so i would try a free one first: if one dealer will approve you, most dealers like it probably will too. First off though, make sure you can afford the car and the insurance(call your company to check rates), so you dont repeat whatever it was you did at age 18.
