It depends what area of the country you live, but here in Central Pennsylvania, you can buy a new one for much less money.
the chrome wheels and mud tires are worth around $500
Here you can buy a brand new Foreman 500, 4x4 for $5299 and a new Yamaha Grizzly or a Suzuki King Quad for $6299
I would shop around and look at the Yamaha, and Suzuki ATV's, they are just as good as the Honda but much less priced.
