Jeep Cherokee Keyless Entry Remote Problem!?

I have a 2001 4-door Jeep Cherokee. About a year ago the batteries in the remote that unlocks my doors went dead and I don't know 1) what kind of coin batteries go in the remote (there are SO many different kinds!) and 2) how to reprogram the remote. The Jeep website is no help on this and I would kind of feel like a moron showing up at a dealership for this one little thing. I don't want to be charged hundreds of dollars for something I can do on my own. Anyone have any suggestions?
***I don't have the battery that was in there originoally so I don't know what # it takes, but yes, if I had that battery I do know where to look to read.
***To the cool guy who told me to use the "f*c.king key" - I'd be a little more impressed with your posturing bravado if you didn't use it on Yahoo! Answers. Do you spend all that time in your mother's basement waiting for someone to ask what you consider an asinine question so that you can show off your ability to slip curse words past the censors while at the same time earning points and feeling superior? That must be fun. When you have saved up enough to own a car get back to me.

1-Go any auto parts store. They will help you with the battery.2-I don't think that you will need to reprogram the remote.3- If you have to do it, find your ECU(it should be by the console or underneath the dashboard).Hold the remote about 2 to 3 in away with the key on '' on '' position push and hold the lock button for about 5 sec.
Good luck

There is a number on the battery. It is probably a CR-2032. It is a common coin type battery you can buy at Radio Shack for about $4. You should not need to reprogram the remote when you change the battery.
