MAzda 626 or Saab 93?

I need a hatch and have about £1500 Both seem a bit different to drive and own but which is best and cheapest to run?

mazda's are more reliable.

I vote Mazda, Saab not nearly so dependable even if a bit more interesting. Running cost similar but insurance and parts prices higher for Saab.

the mazda is more reliable, cheaper to run and quicker. the saab uses the old triumph dolomite block and its getting a bit agricultural by modern standards (it was fine in my dolomite sprint back in the 80's!)
