My Oldsmobile 1995 Eighty Eight stalled as I came down a hill today.?

I was going prob. 30 miles an hour. I just minutes before put gas into the car. As i was leaving the gas station i went down a hill. As it drifted down the hill i couldnt turn the steering wheel and a few light lit up on my dash. The brake was ok and I safely stopped on the side of the road. the car started up fine. do you think it is safe to drive? pls note the car stalled out for the first time ever about 3 weeks ago but i was barely moving as i backed up on a slight angle, the car at the time was full and the trunk was full with luggage. Today it was only me in the car. thx
