Hi, I own a 1999 Subaru Impreza and it has a remote entry system. The other day my battery completely drained because I left the interior light on, and when I jumped the car it was in valet mode (I heard all of the beeping.) I figured out how to disable that by holding down the unlock key for 5 seconds, but now my car stereo will not turn on.
I'm wondering if the valet mode has something to do with the car stereo power. I do have a button underneath my steering wheel on the left hand side, but I'm not sure what that does. I wish I knew more but I bought the car used and I have the user manuals stored up at my grandma's house.
So if there there is a connection between the valet mode and car stereo I would be grateful for your advice.
