i didnt even know it was gone until the police woke me up at 0330 in the morning to say they had tried to do ramdom stop and check and the veichle failed to stop. thr thieving scumbags gave up when the police surrounded them and rammed the police car causing massive damage, i cancelled my insurance (which was third party fire and theft) the next day and scrapped the car, now two weeks later the police want to claim . im so worried please tell me where i stand. thank you everybody

They can try, but the minute your car was stolen, it was no longer your responsibility. Most insurance coverage is void for damages caused while the vehicle is used in the commission of a crime..
