Whats up with Subaru?

I love Subaru!!! My favorite car in the whole entire world is the Subaru WRX STI. It has been my favorite car for about 5 years and I want one as my first car. I just visited the Subaru website only to find that the new 2008 STI is a 5 door hatchback. It has wrecked my expectations when I found out that you could not choose a 4 or 5 door STI as an option. Also I noticed that you have to pay extra for the awesome gold wheels that used to be a free option when you were choosing the car paint. Please tell me if you know that Subaru is going to have their original blue 4 door STI with a free choice between silver or gold alloy wheels.

Also I have noticed that it now starts at 35k. I think the starting price used to be under 30,000, and with basic upgrades, the price came to about 32k.

The new one is just too expensive.

Well, I think Subuar shot themselves in the foot on this one. When the old STI was popular and cool, why the hell did they turn it into a hatch? Good lord, it's become a souped up civic. Shameful...
