Not who owns a Harley Davidson bike. Does anyone know what actual companies own the controlling interest of Harley Davidson? You might be suprised.

Thomas, you point to a page that only shows companies with 5% or less, choose to see all owners, You are right though in a sense, Davis investments owns the majority as of right this instant, but I do know AXA, a French Insurance company had controlling shares of Harley according the SEC online thru at least 2001 to 2005, and I also see AXA has just bought a company called Davis group in 2007, but am still looking to see if the Davis Investments is the same as the Davis Group. Point I am trying to make is in the world of big business, you would be surprised on who owns what, sometimes its very very difficult to see who owns what your actually buying, another interesting site is http://www.toomanycars.info/CarRelationship/Car_Rel-Image.html , it shows all the automobile makers and who is part of who!
