It almost feels like the gate shifts around. My first gear "position" is not consistent. I sometimes find that shifting into second gear, then first works, but not always. This is a recent problem. When I learned to drive, I was taught to downshift to save my brakes so I did, until recently when I learned that it can be hard on the transmission instead. It has about 56k miles on it. I'm also very recently having some problem shifting into reverse and third, though they aren't quiet as troublesome. Can anyone explain this to me?
