Will Harley Davidson enthusiest laugh at me if I buy a 2008 HD Sportser 883?

I want to buy an American-made motorcycle , but I don't have the big bucks for the nicer HD's. are 883's ok?

The Sportster has always been considered a chick bike. I don't think you will get laughed at if you had one. I know allot of guys that I ride with that have the Sportster because it's easier to balance and control. It's not as heavy as the other Harley's.
