Chaning the brake pads on a Honda Odyssey is pretty simple and needs basic knowledge of Automotive tools. As always please make sure that you purchase OEM pads from Honda and all the other necessary hardware.

Tools Required:

  • Jackstands
  • Hydrolic Jack
  • Assorted Wrences
  • Ratchets & Sockets
  • Caliper Press Tool

Instructions:

  • Start off by lifting the car using the hydrolic jack. Place the jackstands under the car to be safe and remove the wheel.

  • Remove the 2 bolts on the back of the caliper and pull the caliper off the rotor and caliper bracket.

  • Press the piston back in the caliper using the caliper Press Tool so it is even with the surface.

  • Remove the old brake pads and replace them with the new ones. Make sure that you swap the clips with the new ones that came with the new brake pads.

  • Follow the above steps in reverse and you are done. Repeat the process on the other side.
