So you’ve finally got that new Miata in your garage and your wife is mad at you because you can’t fit the kids and groceries into a two-seat convertible right? Well Mazda got you into this mess, so let them get you out as a well. Today the Japanese company announced that they’ve begun production of an all new CX-9.

Like the previous CX-9, you get seating for seven people as well as that famous Mazda build quality. An exciting drive is guaranteed thanks to the all-new SKYACTIV-G 2.5T. The new engine is a direct-injected, turbocharged four-cylinder with the now-familiar SKYACTIV technology to achieve greater power and economy. Total power output is rated at 250 horsepower, and an impressive 310 lb-ft of torque.

Aimed at improving your quality of life, Mazda is looking to create an emotional connection between you and the car. Even in their largest crossover, it appears that they’re going to achieve that goal quickly. Expect to start seeing the all new CX-9 this spring.
