The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is dying at the end of this year. To celebrate this car’s incredible legacy and powerful impact on the industry, Mitsubishi is sending it off with one final model. The Lancer Evolution Final Edition is a limited run car that comes with exclusive details, and even greater performance.

Based on the GSR model, the Lancer Evo FE produces 303 horsepower, 305 pound-feet of torque, and it comes exclusively with a manual transmission. Visually it is distinguished by special Final Edition badging, a black roof, dark chrome wheels, and gloss black accents on the on the body kit. This short-run model will be sold in one of four colors, Pearl White, Octane Blue, Rally Red and Mercury Gray.

Beyond the extra horsepower, the Lancer FE gets lightweight Brembo brakes up front, and a suspension setup built from Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks. Of course the Super All-Wheel Control system is included as well.

Sadly, if you want one of these machines, you will have to act fast. There will only be 1,600 of these made, and once they are gone, there will be no more Lancer Evolution models sold in the US. Pricing starts at $37,995.

I hate to see the Lancer Evo die, but at least it’s being sent out with a nice tribute model, rather just a simple end of production. You will be missed Evo X.
